Freevolt™ Launch Event

Wednesday 30th September was a big day for us all at CleanSpace HQ.

Our CEO Lord Drayson took to the stage in the iconic Faraday Theatre to launch a little something called Freevolt. Little in size, we mean – it’s ruddy HUGE in terms of what it can do, not just for the tech world, but for mankind in general. Big statement, we know.

This is because Freevolt can power devices using thin air – no battery charging or changing required. Just stop for a minute and think about a world somewhere down the line where we won’t need pesky wires and cables to power things.

Without getting all techy on you, it basically harvests unused radio frequency waves from Wi-Fi and 2G/3G/4G signals, and converts it into energy for low-power devices such as our brand spanking new CleanSpace Tag, which just so happens to be the very first application of Freevolt. You can find out all about Freevolt by watching the below video from the launch event.

If you haven’t already heard, the CleanSpace Tag is a personal air pollution monitor, that can sync to your CleanSpace App to show you the levels of carbon monoxide around you in real-time. You can then track your air pollution exposure along your journeys, which will in turn give you the power to choose cleaner travel routes. Wouldn’t that be a breath of fresh air?

You can get our hands on one here, to help seed the network in the UK and be one of the first to get your hands on ground-breaking technology.

Any questions, feel free to tweet us @CleanSpace.

Thanks,

The CleanSpace Team.
